Short Range Wireless

A number of different wireless technologies have been developed for very short distances. These technologies are referred to as 'short-range wireless communication’ devices. Signals travel from a few centimetres to several meters. Examples of short-range wireless communications are Bluetooth, infrared, NFC (near field communication), ultraband, Dedicated Short Range Communications (DSRC) is an open-source protocol for wireless communication and Zigbee.
